ABOUT THE CAMPSITE
Welcome to Twll y Clawdd! A small family run touring and camping park, exclusively catering to couples and families. We’re just ten minutes from the base of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and five minutes from the historic town of Caernarfon, so whether you're into hiking or sightseeing, there's plenty to enjoy nearby. Dinas Dinlle is our nearest beach around a 15 minute drive away, with Llanberis Lake within a ten minute drive too.
With 35 grass pitches for tents, tourers, motorhomes, roof tents, trailer tents and camper vans, several electric pitches and a cosy furnished bell tent that sleeps up to four people, we can provide an ideal pitch for most requirements. Dogs are very welcome here too, and we’ve got an enclosed field where they can run free.
ABOUT THE SITE
Ideal for couples and families, we offer a peaceful getaway in the Gwynedd countryside. We're in a great spot too, just ten minutes from the heart of Snowdonia National Park (Eryri) for all you outdoor lovers, and only five minutes from Caernarfon for a day out with the family. We also have a public footpath that you can pick up from one of our fields that connects to the local footpath circuits. With mountains to the left of us and the sea to the right, whether you're into sightseeing or hiking there is plenty to enjoy nearby.
Our site is home to 35 grass pitches across two fields – some are gently sloping – and you can choose between electric or non-electric. If glamping is more your thing, our bell tent might be perfect. It sleeps four on a double bed and two singles, with proper mattresses and all your bedding provided. There’s an electric heater to keep things cosy, fairy lights for that little extra sparkle, and even a fire pit with seating outside (plus your first bag of logs is on us!).
Up to 5 dogs can join you for your stay, unless staying in the bell tent, but they must be kept on a lead or tethered, unless on the dog field where they can play freely! And of course, the usual pick up rules apply.
The site is open from the 1st of March to the 31st of October.

FACILITIES
Our heated shower block provides separate facilities for men and women (3 push button showers and 3 toilets on each side), a baby changing area on the female side and each lockable cubicle contains a bench seat and a hook for clothes. You'll also find mirrored vanity units and free to use plug sockets on both sides.
While we don't allow dogs in the shower block, we have provided outdoor dog parking and an external dog shower, ideal to wash off a day at the beach!
Just next to the shower block, we have a washing up area, coin operated laundry machines, our elson point and grey waste area. Outside our reception, we have a secure bike rack covered by CCTV, while inside we have disposable BBQs, local honey, a small range of souvenirs and dog essentials available to purchase. We also have a freezer if you need ice blocks freezing. We have fire pits available to hire and logs available to purchase, although guests are welcome to bring their own BBQs and pits (only logs purchased from us are to be used). We provide a hot ash bin and BBQ bricks as all pits and BBQs are to be raised off the ground.
Cegin Fach Emma at the top of the drive serves up lovely home-cooked roasts and desserts – just book ahead! The Y Glyntwrog Inn and Penbont Inn are both around a 15-minute walk, and there’s a Co-op and Spar just five minutes away for any essentials. The Sherpa'r Wyddfa bus (shuttle bus for Snowdon walkers) also picks up from the bus stop at the top of our drive, preventing the need to book and pay for parking in advance.
